Meadow Fritillary
(Boloria bellona)
The Meadow Fritillary is present in the grassy areas boardering the butterfly garden from late April through the fall months. It is similar in appearance to the Great Spangled Fritillary, but much smaller in size. Unlike the large Great Spangled Fritillary, the Meadow Fritillary lacks large silver spots on the ventral hindwings.
